Today we will explore deeper the pros and cons of traditional schooling. It is a classroom education where teachers and students are physically presented and where teaching and learning usually follow a structured curriculum and a standardised assessment system. There are different type of traditional schools as: state schools, faith schools, academies, special, private/ independent, etc.The traditional schools can provide you with guidance, feedback, and support from qualified teachers and peers. It can also help you develop your targeted skills, as well as your critical thinking and analytical skills. However, on-site learning can also be boring, rigid, and slow for some learners.

Some advantages of on-site education are:

Interaction: You get to interact with a live instructors, which can help you stay motivated and engaged. You can also get engage in active learning methods such as discussions, debates, presentations, and group projects that can enhance your critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Socialising: You can enjoy direct and immediate communication with your classmates and instructors, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Support: You can access various support services and resources on campus, such as academic advising, tutoring, counselling, library, labs, etc. You can also receive feedback and guidance from your instructors more easily and frequently.

Affordability: Many traditional schools provide free education. All children in England between the ages of 5 and 16 are entitled to a free place at a state school. Most common type of schools that receive funding through their local authority or directly from the government are: community schools, foundation schools or voluntary schools, academies and free schools, grammar schools.

Recognition: On-site education is generally more recognised and valued by employers and society than online education. In-place learners can benefit from the reputation and accreditation of their institutions, as well as the networking opportunities with alumni and industry partners.

Some disadvantages of on-site education are:

Rigidity: On-site learners have to follow a fixed schedule and location for their classes, which may limit their flexibility and choices. They may also have fewer options for courses and programs than online learners, depending on the availability and capacity of their institutions.

Higher costs: On-site private education can incur higher costs , such as tuition fees, transportation fees, accommodation fees, etc.On- site learners may also need to purchase textbooks and other materials that are not provided online.

 Lack of diversity and exposure to different cultures and perspectives which may limit their intercultural competence and global awareness.

On-site classes can be time-consuming. 

Need to practice self-care: As people showing empathy teachers can be emotionally draining, so it's important to take care of themselves  and engage in activities that help them manage stress and maintain their own emotional well-being.

 Biases: We all have our biases that can affect how we perceive others' experiences. Teachers should be aware of their own and others biases and strive to be objective in their interactions.

It is important to make a note that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for education. The contemporary school may need to accommodate different types and sizes of learning to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of learners.
